I'm trying to open the application, and it says it can't be opened. I tried opening from various places (including double-clicking my document) but I get the same message every time. What should I do?

@ejuliast I've seen this report a few times in the situation where it's updating itself to the most recent version (you'd see at the same time in the dock a blue / yellow auto-updater icon). If that's the case, it resolves itself automatically after a moment.
If that is not the reason you're seeing it, it could be the update has tripped itself up, at which case you can update to the most recent version by downloading the most recent version from here:
http://updates.manuscriptsapp.com/apps/manuscripts/production/download (then replace the version you have put in /Applications with the one you downloaded)
