Hi, I just downloaded Manuscripts and it looks great. However, I am a Papers 2 user and it does not appear that you can directly enter a citation from the magic citation feature in Papers 2 (as you can when writing in pages, word, etc). Is this correct, and if so, do you plan to address this soon? It is a deal breaker, as I have come to rely on this useful feature in Papers 2.
Citing with Papers 2
@nagelc23 Manuscripts relies on some Papers 3 specific functionality in the Magic Citations tool and back porting it to the version of Magic Citations included with Papers 2 is unlikely to be possible.
However, Manuscripts certainly can be used with Papers 2 as Manuscripts has its own reference data file handling and a Citations like citation tool included, which you can find instructions for using over here: Citing without Papers 3
To use these tools with your Papers 2 library, export from Papers first in your choice of BibTeX, EndNote XML or RIS, and import that into your manuscript when citing, then follow the steps described in the Citing without Papers 3.
