I am finding endnote import incredibly slow - so far has taken 30 mins and still going, just to reimport an endnote library with virtually changes from the last import. My endnote library has around 9000 references - is this expected behaviour?

Thanks, will do. Can I confirm the location of the library files you want sent? I'm using Dropbox to sync my library to papers for iOS. Should I be sending the files from dropbox or the location you indicated? Note both are there but could it be that the version in the ~/library/application support is not being used?

    Thanks

Is there any interest in addressing these bug reports from the Manuscripts team?

    Hi again!!!

When I try and import my papers library into Manuscripts I get the following error.

"Failed to execute script required for connecting to Papers 3.

Please contact support@manuscriptsapp.com if this persists."

Have seen it previously and remains unresolved despite multiple app updates. I'm using the latest version of papers on OSX Sierra and sync papers via dropbox.

Can I please ask the developers to stop working on new features such as collaborative writing and focus on getting something stable and useable out. The software is no longer new and the number of bugs in apps produced by this team swamps anything else I've ever paid for.

    Thanks

    Nick

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I'd like to think the importation of references will work, as a more reliable alternative, although I'm still not sold on having to keep a duplicate library of my references (seems to defeat the purpose of a tool like papers to a large degree?.

Have tried multiple times to import my library, which is pretty large (2.98GB on disk), but always get the error message "Failed to execute script required for connecting to Papers 3.".

I will add that having to import the library repeatedly (even if it's quick) every time a paper is added or the metadata is updated, feels like double handling.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Nick

Agree with this thread. Please fix the basics! I have come back to try the app again after starting something in it a while ago and having to abandon it because of the various bugs - many of which I've spent hours reporting. I started to think that maybe the issues were legacy issues arising from an old document with embedded code. I started again with a new document however, and all the issues are still there. Problems with copy and paste, problems with random crashes, etc. I really like the concept but cannot afford the time to deal with the numerous bugs, especially when there is a failure to see the product as in the Beta state that it is.

Thanks Matias, but unfortunately the citations appear completely broken in my current document. First, I have tried removing every reference to a particular paper, and then tried reentering those refs together with any others that formed part of the same citation. I'm now finding that refs are actually inserting at a different location to where the cursor is, and I still have duplicates in the citation window that I cannot delete (option is greyed out). Hopefully there is a fix soon... in the meantime I suspect I'll have to work on this document in word... Once again, I feel saddened by being so harsh on you guys - the vision for this software is great - but it's unreasonable to expect paying customers to be beta testers. The software is so far from street ready for real world use it's unbelievable.

Same issues here. Have reported them and provided an example doc for them to work on. No reply this week. Very frustrating... Essentially unusable in its current form.
