The os is 10.12.5 and the manuscripts is 1.2.7. the added Bibliography show nothing no matter how many reference were added. when exporting it to Word, it pops up "Citation compiler failed with error... because of Citeproc engine could not be initiated", what the hell?!! I remember it was working a few months ago.

I guess this software is developed under Swift language. As you might know Swift is now open source for Ubuntu. So I wish to use Manuscript on Linux besides Mac OS. Actually it has no M$ version, so the compromised way is to install a VM and run it in Ubuntu.

    Is it possible technically?

@peflanag the addition of a layout with one big one on top and two next to each others is a good idea indeed. The figure component labelling as well as figure resizing, and exporting the layout in high fidelity in LaTeX are on our todo! Thanks very much for feedback.

Hi Matias, figure insertion is the most confusing part for me. Usually the figures and tables were not included in manuscript for submission, which have their own place to stay. I was trying to export the manuscript to Word format but still found that the figures were included in manuscript. so my question is if there would be a option to exclude the figures and tables export when exporting Manuscript. That is, exported manuscript in Word format will only have text and bibliography, figure legends.

Looks like it's still alive, and I plan to draft my next research paper with the Manuscript. deal. Looking forwards to its release.

Wow, Wow, looks like I have to uprade my current iPad2 to Air 2 if it needs more power. BTW, may I ask what's the current language exploited for Manuscript.app ? Is it Swift2?

Hope it will support iOS Papers to reference insertion.

Guys, calm down. The fastest way to get support is the support@manuscriptsapp.com email - this forum is a community resource we keep up for general feedback really. The product is maintained just as before, in fact I've gone full time on the project only recently, from a far smaller time commitment I was able to give to the project before, and we're getting closer with the collaborative editing functionality which has been a major item of feedback from everyone (ability to do track changes etc) so there's far more time going into this as before. I've simply had a baby recently and as I've always been the one handling not checking the forum as much as the support email system which, as before, is the way to get personal 1:1 support.

Hey Matias, Wonderful, congratulation to be dad or dad again. I totally understand it will slow down your progress for update and debugging, because I have similar situation right now.

Trust me, this program would be a great product in scientific fields if giving it a few years of development, it extremely simplified our efforts, yesterday I spend half an hour to use the trial, it's really simple and productive, too much better than Word. Please do keep polishing it.

When I read this post a few days before, I was really considering the possibility to buy it though it has a great name and great idea, but no one wants to buy a beta product, especially it still has a few unsatisfied functionality. But I believe it will give you a perfect rewards and win its reputation if you team can spend more time to make it perfect as well! Please go Kickstarter to get funds and hire more excellent CS engineers to upgrade it as soon as possible, please.
